The Crystal Bennett foundation is dedicated to empowering and uplifting women and children in need by providing them with resources, support, and opportunities, necessary to thrive.
Through our unwavering commitment to fostering education, health, and equality, we strive to create a world where every woman and child can realize their full potential and lead a life of dignity, security, and hope.

Crystal S. Bennett
Crystal was born on December 19, 1982 in Detroit, Michigan. She departed this life to transition to heaven on January 20th, 2021.
Crystal was a caring, loving, loyal, and devoted wife and mother, who dedicated her life to caring for others at their most vulnerable times. She had a special love and passion for helping others, especially those in need such as the elderly and individuals with disabilities. She had a huge heart and smile…and behind it all was a genuine commitment to caring and taking care of others when life depended on it most.
She worked in the Oncology unit for Baylor, Scott, and White hospital in Dallas, TX, and served as a cancer advocate and support member for the patients and families she served.
Crystal’s passing was unexpected…but through this foundation we are committed to making sure her love and passion for helping others stay alive.

2025 Scholarship Award Information
The Crystal Bennett Foundation Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Crystal Bennett by supporting high school seniors who exemplify the values of service, compassion, and dedication to their communities.
We believe in the transformative power of service and strive to provide support and opportunities that enable passionate individuals to pursue their dreams while fostering a spirit of compassion and civic responsibility.
This scholarship aims to empower students who have demonstrated a commitment to community service and volunteering, providing them with support to continue their educational journey and further their impact on the world.
Through this scholarship, we celebrate Crystal’s spirit of giving and inspire the next generation of leaders to make a difference in their communities.
2025 Scholarship Availability: Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to selected participants.
Essay Topic & Instructions:
• The focus of your essay should be on the importance of community service and how it contributes to the betterment of society. Consider exploring topics such as:
• How community service helps in building stronger, more connected communities.
• The personal and societal benefits of volunteering and helping others.
• The role of service in addressing social issues and fostering positive change.
• Stories or experiences that illustrate the value of giving back.
Essay Guidelines:
• Essays should be double spaced and limited to two pages, no less than 500 words and no more than 1000 words.
• Essays must contain specific facts and reasoning which support your case.
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) enhanced essays will not be considered.
• Deadline: May 22nd, 2025.
*Additional Submission Requirements:
· Three letters of Reference. Two from teachers or counselors; one can be from a community person (such as a minister, mentor, employer, etc.).
· A copy of your most recent high school transcript.
· College acceptance letters must be provided prior to receiving award (if chosen).
· Scholarship winners will be announced in June 2025.
